Washington, D.C. — On August 23, 2025, CapeTown DMV proudly partnered with Fight for Children to provide free grooming and beauty services during their Youth Sports Day event held at The Fields at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. The day celebrated youth empowerment, health, and community engagement through sports — and CapeTown DMV was honored to contribute to the experience by helping participants look and feel their best.
As part of the event, CapeTown DMV’s talented team of barbers, stylists, and volunteers offered free haircuts, braids, and grooming services to youth athletes and attendees. For many, it was more than just a fresh look — it was a moment of confidence, self-care, and community connection.
“We believe that self-esteem and self-care go hand in hand with performance and success,” said Felicia Webb, Co-Founder of CapeTown DMV. “When youth feel good about themselves, it shows in how they show up — on the field, in school, and in life. We’re grateful to Fight for Children for including us in such a meaningful day of empowerment.”
The event brought together hundreds of youth and families for a day of fun, fitness, and fellowship. Participants enjoyed team sports, health screenings, local vendors, and interactive activities that promoted overall well-being and youth development.
This collaboration aligned perfectly with CapeTown DMV’s mission to build self-esteem within underserved communities by providing free hair and beauty services while creating pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and licensure. Through partnerships like this, CapeTown DMV continues to bridge the gap between community care, confidence, and opportunity.
Together, we reminded our community that when we invest in our youth — we invest in the future.
